State Tournament

This Friday and Saturday, November 4th and 5th, the Utah 5A Volleyball State Tournament will take place at the UCCU Events Center at UVU.

(Please note that the time of the first 5A Saturday match has been changed to 10:30 am.)

The Lone Peak Varsity team will play Hunter at 3:30pm on Court 4 (the far court).  Hunter is the designated home team for this match, so Lone Peak fans should sit on the left side of the tape.

As many of our faithful fans in the student section will be attending the football quarter final during this match, we'd like to ask all friends, family, and fans of LPVB who can attend to make it a priority!  Please sit together at the bottom of the stands and help cheer on our team!

Our second match is scheduled for 6:30 pm.  Court assignment and opponent TBA.

The all-day (both matches) ticket prices for Friday are $6 for students, $10 for adults.
Those in the "lower bowl" seats are permitted to stand.  Noise makers and amplification devices of any kind are prohibited, as are hand-held signs.  Rally towels are permitted, so bring your LPHS football rally towels when you head to the UVU events center for the second match (right after the LPHS vs. Northridge football game)!

This Concludes Your Regularly Scheduled Season!

Thursday, 10/27, was the final game of the regular season for our high school teams, while teams in the Junior Knight program finished their season with a tournament last week. 

Congratulations to all our teams for a great season.

Thanks to our players for all their hard work, and to our parents for all their help and support!

• All players not on the Varsity/JV team should turn in their jerseys as soon as possible.  (You can bring them to the LPHS office or to Coach Meyer's room or Miss Wentz's room (129).)
• Anyone who still has a PINK jersey from the Riverton Dig Pink game needs to turn it in ASAP!!
• Jerseys that are not turned in will result in fines!
• Please come support our VARSITY team at the state tournament this Friday and Saturday!

Think Pink!

Tomorrow (Thursday, 10/13) LPHS hosts Riverton for the Pink game.  Proceeds go to the Huntsman Cancer Institute through Swing for Life.

Players should be planning to bring treats for the bake-sale (and hey, the treats don't have to be pink-- if you think you'll get more buyers for a non-pink treat, we can support that!) and seniors and other interested parties have been asked to donate something for silent auction.

Parents:  did you ever buy something, decide to return it, and then never get around to it?  erase your guilt by donating it to the silent auction!  It's a win-win-- you don't have to feel guilty about not returning it, someone else gets to enjoy it, and money goes to the fight against cancer.  Hurrah!  There will be extra silent auction forms available at the auction table.  :)

Don't feel like baking or donating?  How about shopping and eating?  Bring some money to purchase treats and bid on auction items.

Youth Clinic 10/8

Just a reminder that we will be running a youth clinic on Saturday, 10/8 for girls and boys in 3rd-8th grades.  The clinic runs from 9am to 11:30am in the LPHS Field House (big gym).

We strongly encourage all who are interested in volleyball to come out and join us!

The cost is $20.  Preregister by paying online at www.myschoolfees.com (Go to the public side, choose Lone Peak, Volleyball, and the clinic date.) or pay at the door.

Pink vs Riverton

Pink has been postponed to 10/13!
In the interest of making a more substantial donation, we've decided to use our next home game (LP vs Riverton, 10/13) as a Pink Game.  (This way we can donate the gate proceeds, provided we get volunteers to staff the gate.)

Because of this, we are going to postpone the request for Seniors to deliver donation baskets (and for other players to bring baked goods) until that game-- that way we can make a greater impact in our own area (along with the bonus of being sure to get the tables and other items we need and getting cash boxes from our own finance office).  ;)

So in summary:
Don't go on a baking & pink-ribbon spree tonight!  Wait until next Wednesday!
